Applied DNA Sciences Regains Compliance with Nasdaq Listing Standards

STONY BROOK, N.Y.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Applied DNA Sciences, Inc. (APDN) (“Applied DNA”) or (the “Company”), a leader in Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR)-based DNA manufacturing for product authenticity, traceability solutions and nucleic acid-based biotherapeutic research, today announced that it has received notification from Nasdaq that the Company has regained compliance with Nasdaq’s minimum bid price and stockholders’ equity rules and met the requirements of the Nasdaq Hearing Panel decision dated October 1, 2019, which requires that the Company evidence compliance with all applicable criteria for continued listing on or before December 31, 2019. Accordingly, the Company’s common stock will continue to be listed on The Nasdaq Capital Market and Nasdaq considers the matter closed.
Specifically, the Company regained compliance with the minimum bid price requirement of $1.00 per share for continued listing on the Nasdaq Capital Market, as set forth in Nasdaq Listing Rule 5550(a)(2) (the “Bid Price Requirement”) and the minimum $2.5 million stockholders’ equity, or $35 million market value of listed securities, or $500,000 of net income from continuing operations requirements for The NASDAQ Capital Market set forth in Listing Rules 5550(b).
